Jason Taylor Construction LLC is a residential builder with more than 29 years experience in home building. Specializing in rental turnovers, home inspection repairs, cl100 sign offs and maintenance services in addition to remodeling. We do larger jobs as well but found that there was a need for a licensed builder that could take on small jobs and provide a reliable, professional, and affordable option to many realtors, home buyers, homeowners and property management companies.

We primarily specialize in maintenance for property management companies, helping realtors with cl100 and home inspections repairs, and remodels for homeowner and property investors. We can do new home construction as well but specialize in smaller jobs.
We have been building and remodeling for over 29 years. We have been a licensed contractor since 2008 starting in Tennessee before moving to Charleston.
We cover most of the Charleston tri-county area. There may be a trip charge for some further locations.
Yes. We are a licensed, insured and bonded residential home builder in South Carolina.
Generally, estimates are sent out within 48 hrs of looking at a job. Depending on the size of the job it may be as short as a few hours. Estimates are good for 30 days as costs of materials fluctuate.
We take a number of payment methods. We do offer financing with approval through a 3rd party. You can apply for financing through a link on our estimate with Acorn and even get preapproval with no affect on credit score. You can also pay your invoice online.
We hold an unrestricted South Carolina Residential Builders license, a Tennessee contractors license, AAC block certification, and the EPA lead paint certification.
Many factors will play into the costs. Licensed and insured professionals cannot compete with unlicensed and uninsured prices. Handyman insurance is very different than builder or contractor insurance and does not cover as many different types of jobs or same dollar amount usually. Also, will their price increase after they start the job? Sometimes, not always, it can be a lack of experience in estimating. Our worker's compensation is higher as we work on all aspects of residential construction. We have to have business licenses as well in each area we work, each city and county, that add to the costs for properly operating businesses.
We try to predict all expenses required in our estimates. Unfortunately, with remodeling, there can be some things you cannot see or predict until you uncover it. Such as removing flooring or drywall to find damage behind. At that time, we would take photos, prepare a change order and submit it for approval. If possible, we will have the customer come to the site, explain what is wrong and propose possible repairs in person. We will not proceed with that part of the job until the change order is agreed to by all.
